Summer fun: Essex

With the help of my mum, we were able to take a mid-week trip to a Gloucester beach (the twins max out at 2 hours on the beach so it was more like a jaunt) and made a stop at J.T. Farnham's in adorable Essex for fried clams.

The view from Farnham's.

Fried clam plate & Sam Adams Summer - the perfect combo.
The staff at Farnham's couldn't have been sweeter, and the cashier made the phenomenal Sam Adams recommendation.

  2. A great time was had by all. Maria took great pictures with her phone, so I'm glad we have a record of the jaunt. Unfortunately we were both so busy keeping up with the grils at the beach we both forgot to take any pictures there. The tide was out, so there was a vast expanse of beach to accommodate the crowds and provide lots of shallow ocean with little waves for timid two-year-olds. Two hours on the beach is plenty for a grandmother too.
And I highly recommend the Sam Adams Summer. Thanks for the encouragement, Mar, since I hate paying for alcohol away from home. Yum!
